How do I change my Wi-Fi name or password on my Fibre Router?

You can change the Wi-Fi name or password on your Fibre router by following the step by step guide below:

Zyxel Router

1. Make sure your device is connected to the Fibre router - either by WiFi or Ethernet.
2. Open up your Web Browser and enter 192.168.1.1 in the URL / Address bar
3. Login to the WebGUI with the supplied User Name and Login Password located on the sticker at the back of your Fibre router.
4. Once logged in to the WebGUI - Click on the Menu icon in the top-right corner of your screen.
5. Click on Network Settings - followed by Wireless.
6. Changing the option Band - will allow you to edit the 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz WiFi settings. (It will be on 2.4Ghz at first login)
7. The option Wireless Network Name - will allow you to change the WiFi name.
8. Scroll down further until you reach the section Security Level – Which will allow you to change the WiFi Password and encryption type.
9. To change the WiFi password – make sure to uncheck/disable the option ‘Generate password automatically’.
10. The option Password – will now be available and blank - you can now configure your own password for the WiFi network.
11. Click on the button OK to confirm changes.

To check connected devices

1. Click on the arrow under the connectivity box on the homepage.
2. Click on List

Huawei Router

1. Make sure your device is connected to the Fibre router - either by WiFi or Ethernet.

2. Open up your Web Browser and enter 192.168.18.1 in the URL / Address bar

3. Login to the WebGUI with the supplied User Name and Login Password located on the sticker at the back of your Fibre router.

4. Once logged in to the WebGUI - Click on the Advanced menu.

5. Click on WLAN

6. Click on 2.4G and 5g Basic Network Settings separately. Each network needs to be set separately.

7. The option SSID Name - will allow you to change the WiFi name.

8. To change the Wi-Fi password, enter new password in the field WPA PreSharedKey

9. Click on the button Apply to confirm changes.

1. Click on System Information
2. Click on User Device Information
